THE SHERWOOD DOWSER
DOWSING RESEARCH PROJECT 2026

2026 Dowsing Research Project
The aim of this Dowsing research project is to explore different aspects of tree, water, and earth energies and to investigate whether the different aspects are related, as well as how they are affected by the Solar Noon transition period (the 20-minute period leading up to Solar Noon) and the mid-afternoon transition period (3pm to 3:15pm). Some Dowsers will undertake research in the parkland surrounding Newstead Abbey in Nottinghamshire while others will work at their home locations.
This document gives an overview of the project.

Session 1 - Tree Energies
In this session we will explore the energy fields of trees and the structure of the energy lines that connect trees together. We will investigate how the trees and connecting energy lines are affected by the playing of music, drumming and chanting as well as the Solar Noon and mid-afternoon transition periods.

Session 2 - Water Energies
In this session we will locate some blind springs and water veins that run from them, exploring their energetic structure, water depths and flow rates. We will also locate some of the smaller capped vortices that are associated with blind spring networks. We will explore how these energetic features behave during the Solar Noon and mid-afternoon transition periods and whether the water depth and flow rate changes at all during these periods.

Session 3 - Earth Energies
In this session we will locate the earth energy dragon currents that flow through the area and explore their structure in terms of the number of bands that they are comprised of. We will take Bovis readings for each band and explore its width, colour frequency and Yin/Yang polarity, We will also take readings of how much beneficial/detrimental energy these flows are carrying and see whether this is affected by the Solar Noon and mid-afternoon transition periods. Additionally, we will start to explore how they link in with the trees, blind springs and capped vortices that we have dowsed previously.

Session 4 - Summer Solstice Energies
The day prior to the Solstices and Equinoxes is said to be a harmony day when earth energy lines come into sync with one another and the energetic features surrounding blind springs widen out for several days. In this session we will explore whether the tree, water and earth energies that we dowsed in the previous sessions change during the Summer Solstice period and whether this affects their behaviour during the Solar Noon and mid-afternoon transition periods.

Session 5 - Beacon Tree Energies
In this session we will locate a Beacon Tree and its associated Beacon spring, and explore their energies, how they relate to underground water and how they are connected to other trees in the area. We will also explore how the energies of the Beacon Tree behave during the Solar Noon and mid-afternoon transition periods.

Session 6 - Landscape Pentagram Energies
The south-west tip of the Sherwood Forest landscape pentagram is located at Newstead. In this session we will dowse for the exact location of this tip and explore its energetic structure, and any lines of energy emanating from it. We will also explore whether this feature and any related lines of energy are affected by the playing of music, drumming and chanting as well as the Solar Noon and mid-afternoon transition periods.

Session 7 - New Moon Energies
In this session we will explore how the shape and behaviour of some earth energy features, particularly the smaller capped vortices that are connected to blind spring networks, can change around the time of New Moon and whether this affects any of the other energies. Additionally, we will explore if and how the tree, water and earth energies that we dowsed over the last few sessions are linked together.

Session 8 - Autumn Equinox Energies
The day prior to the Solstices and Equinoxes is said to be a harmony day when earth energy lines come into sync with one another and the energetic features surrounding blind springs widen out for several days. In this session we will explore whether the tree, water and earth energies that we dowsed in the previous sessions have changed at all during the Autumn Equinox period and whether this affects their behaviour during the Solar Noon and mid-afternoon transition periods
